The Dr. Osahon Enabulele Foundation (DOEF) has urged governments at all levels to be more committed to leadership excellence and ethical governance.
This is contained in its Special Welcome message to the year 2026 which was signed by its Director General (DG), Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the former President of the World Medical Association (WMA).
According to the DOEF, “the outgone year, 2025, was a year that had various global, regional, national and local challenges, opportunities, and triumphs. For us in the Dr Osahon Enabulele Foundation (DOEF), it was a year that challenged us, inspired us,
and strengthened our resolve to serve humanity with compassion,
integrity, and purpose.
“Despite the very challenging socio-economic and political environment within which we operated, we were able to make
meaningful impact in the lives of individuals, students, and the
communities we serve.”
Going further, the Foundation posited that “the New Year, 2026, presents fresh opportunities to deepen our impact, expand our
reach, and reaffirm our commitment to building an egalitarian society.
“As pacesetters, we shall remain focused and committed to making more meaningful social impact and milestones through leadership development, policy advocacy, and
empowerment of citizens with equitable access to quality education and healthcare.
“We shall remain dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable solutions that address the genuine concerns of citizens and create lasting change.”
DOEF urged governments
at all levels to be “more committed to leadership excellence and ethical governance. They should show greater commitment to the security, health, education, welfare, and prosperity of their citizens so as to secure improved national development.
“Similarly, we urge citizens to be more responsible followers committed to changing the prevailing negative narratives,
especially by continually holding their governments to account and shunning all forms of inducement to corrupt the system.”
