FG’s gazette on Benin artefacts: Rights activist charges Obaseki to seek for Oba of Benin’s forgiveness

Rights activist and President of the One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor(aka Ultimate Equals), has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and weighed in in support of the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare 11, N’Ogidigan on the recent Federal Government gazette which affirmed the ownership of returned stolen Benin artefacts to the monarch.

In his statement, Chief Eholor said: “I want you all to join me and thank President Buhari for gazetting that the stolen artifacts belongs to the Oba Of Benin and not for Godwin Obaseki.

“For not allowing ‘Lying’ Mohammed and Governor Godwin Obaseki to deceive him with their unfounded lies that the artifacts belong to the yet to be built museum.

“The purpose of him destroying the Central Hospital that has been existing for hundred years has been defeated. He caused the sick and the venerable more pains because of personal greed and disrespect for the Palace.

“I advice him now to go to the Palace and beg the Oba of Benin, we will gladly join him to ask the Oba to forgive him that to err is human and to forgive is divine.

“We will tell our father to forgive and look at the Holy Book where the Son of God mentioned to his father that ‘Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing.’ “
