Fear not, we will deliver Obaseki at the September 19 polls – Aide

Ahead of the Saturday, September 19th, 2020 gubernatorial election in Edo State, at the close of the  local government to local government campaign of the women’s wing of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Campaign Council led by Her Excellency, Mrs Betsy Ifueko Obaseki and other top women big wigs including the PDP National Deputy Women Leader and PDP State Women Leader, in a close interview, Special Adviser to the Governor on Gender Issues, Ms Efosa Uyigue, assured of total victory for the incumbent Governor at the polls.

She acknowledged the good works of the governor in the state and the ongoing transformation already in every key sector of the state economy. She applauded the governor for his tremendous achievements in the last three and a half years. She thanked the him for involving women in his administration which has increased the participation of women in Edo State politics.

Ms Efosa Uyigue further encouraged the Edo masses who have already seen what the governor is doing and are clamouring for his re-election to get their PVCs ready and go vote for the governor on the election day. She assured that all necessary measures has  been put in place to ensure safety of all eligible voters. 

She urged the voters to go out on that day to vote and that they shouldn’t be scared by what the opposition are saying. Edo State Government will ensure the protection of the lives of all voters. She promised that it will be a peaceful and credible process.

The governor’s aide assured that with what is already on ground and the good works of the governor, the People’s Democratic Party will emerge victorious and Obaseki will be returned for a second term. 

According to her, “Edo people are behind the governor. They appreciate his laudable projects and are satisfied with his uncommon achievements. This is the major reason they want him to return to complete his ongoing projects and to do much more because this administration has impacted on lives positively in the state.  Edo has never had it so good in the history of governance of the state.”

Ms. Uyigue stressed that what is already on ground is a tip of an iceberg compared to what is to come when he returns to office for a second term. These will make Edo an investment hub and a tourist attraction. She admonished voters to shun lies being peddled by the opposition and stand firm for greater works in the coming years with Governor Godwin Obaseki. 

She also advised that people should go out on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 to vote for PDP whose logo is the umbrella to return Godwin Obaseki as Governor of the state.
