Exposed: The real enemies of Esanland

By Chris Akhabue

The adversaries of a man are the members of his household. This saying succinctly depicts the position of the undeniably opinionated proponents of ” no third term tenure” which is devoid of progressive logic but amusingly plebianistic and pedestral.

The doctrinaire of a thought process which the EBAKOTA or “no third term” has unwittingly signposts is baselessly a subjective rhetorics in futility as it lacks the essence of what true and profitable representation entails in the instance of Esan people.

I am not a card carrying member of any political party, neither do I owe any allegiance to any politician but deeply interested in the politics of Esanland in particular and Nigeria in general.

There has been a paradigm shift in the thought process of the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s entire delegates in Edo Central Senatorial District who have now come to the understanding and unanimously agreed that it is better and more profitable to have a ranking officer at the National Assembly(NASS) by allowing the present House of Representatives member representing Esan West, Esan Central and Igueben constituency, Honourable Joe Edionwele, to continue his fair, equitable and pragmatic people oriented representation at the National Assembly.

They have eventually come to the full realisation that having a ranking officer at the NASS is more beneficial and profitable to the constituencies than going on a wide goose chase of annual experimentation of turn by turn which is tantamount to sitting on a rocking horse.

This is a superior reason based objectivity devoid of the juandiced and myopic clamour of “no third tenure” that is banausic and retrograde in all ramifications.

That assertion by a writer that, “delegates remain adamant despite cash rain From Joe Edionwele” that is currently trending on social media is plebianistic and pedestrianism of a thought process lacking merit and objectivity but purely deviced craftily to hoodwink and deceive the simple minded.

It is nauseatingly reprehensible how far some people can go in attempts to falsify and stand truth on its head with a view to maligning the integrity of others.

That denigrating statement is a misguided and futile attempt to tarnish the good image of the leadership of the party and its delegates, as it is a mere figment of an unsound and unfounded imagination of the writer to distort the impeccable and unblemished character formation of Honourable Joe Edionwele and that of the entire leadership of Edo Central PDP and the delegates which the writer tried futilely to disparaged.

Those who may not have had a proper understanding of the need to have a ranking officer and the accruable benefits to the constituencies may have initially believed the line of deceits and gross falsifications as malignly ochestrated by the proponents of EBAKOTA.

But now they know better. And they have decided to massively support a pragmatic and enigmatic Honourable Joe Edionwele to continue his brilliant selfless but people oriented representation so that Esan people would benefit from the large envelope third timers are entitled to.

Now that they are short of reasonable line of argument, they have resorted to blantant lies and falsifications and names calling.

The truth of the matter is that, that writer is crying Wolf where one doesn’t exist. The leadership of the PDP and all the delegates in Edo Central Senatorial District deserve commendations for taking the right decision for the love of Esan people not any undeserved and needless vilification.

Let me conclude this piece by putting the record straight.

The benefits of having a ranking officer at the National Assembly far outweighs the myopic agitations for turn by turn of representatives.

A first and second timer at the National Assembly has an envelope for constituency budgetary allocations for constituency projects of a hundred million naira while a ranking officer, a third timer, has an envelope of well over two billion naira to deploy to his constituency for projects execution.

This is what the enemies within Esanland are trying to deny Esan people by their unproductive and unprofitable EBAKOTA propaganda.

The fairness of Honourable Joe Edionwele in keeping faith with equity in his dispositions to his constituency signpost him as a true democrat whose foray into politics is purely selfless but people oriented.

Little wonder therefore he was able to attract numerous projects to his constituency within the period under review.

It would amount therefore, to grave self inflicted injury, great self disenfranchisement and grave disservice to the whole of Esanland if competence, meritocracy and productivity as considerations as demonstrated so far by Honourable Edionwele are sacrificed at the altar of politicking and power play as EBAKOTA deception would only put the constituency on a rocking horse with neither a focus nor direction.

It is therefore imperative for every well meaning Esan sons and daughters to support, nominate and ensure continuity of flawless representation with Honourable Joe Edionwele.
