Exclusive chat with Officer Osadolor of Africa Magic series, Enakhe

Pastor Valiho Osagie, actor cum worker in the Lord’s vineyard, is presently riding on the crest of popular acclaim for his near perfect interpretation of the role of a police officer, Osadolor, in Enakhe, a series showing Mondays to Fridays on Africa Magic’s Showcase channel.

The vision bearer recalled that when he was making his entry into the movies world some few years ago he went into a very short but precise prayer that his acting should always be unique, different from the pack.

“God answered my prayer and right from that moment I was always doing my role interpretation in a peculiar manner that elicit positive response from fans.

“In 2016, when I received Christ I was virtually out of movies industry as I did not do a single production. But when I resumed later it was as if I had been around all the time as my acting skills did not diminish.

“It is the grace of God that is at work for me. I cannot rule out that in my achievements so far in the movies world,” he asserted.

In recent times he has been finding it tough to convince fans of the series, Enakhe where he plays the role of Officer Osadolor, a policeman, that he is not a police officer.

“When fans of the series meet me the first question they ask is whether I am truly a policeman. Trying to convince them that I am not is always a herculean task.”

Not long ago, the cast of Enakhe were in Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja for a ‘greet and meet’ outing and the show of love and appreciation for Officer Osadolor was massive.

“I was speechless seeing the kind of warm reception that I was getting from the fans of the series (Enakhe). Presently, the series has been rated as the second most viewed series on the Africa Magic’s Showcase channel,” Pastor Osagie said.

Asked how he has been able to interpret the role of a policeman effortlessly in Enakhe and why his usual line in the series, ‘the police is your friend’, has been on the fans’ lips, Pastor Osagie said: “In acting you must observe your environment well. Acting is your environment. As an actor wherever I am I take my time to watch and observe.”
