The Edo State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria(SWAN) has commiserated with the National President of the association, Isaiah Benjamin, on the death of his mother, Madam Agnes Benjamin, who died last Thursday at 78.
In a letter signed by the Chairman of the state SWAN Caretaker Committee, Comrade Aliu Alemma Ozioruva and Secretary, Comrade Lucky Isibor, and addressed to Benjamin, the Chapter expressed its shock at the incident coming few months after the passing of his father.
The Edo SWAN urged “the President to be consoled by the fact that mama lived a good life and saw to the exemplary upbringing of her children as exemplified by our own President.
“While we pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of Mama Agnes, we pray that the almighty God grant you and your siblings the fortitude to bear the loss.”
