Edo State Govt House Drama: Tell Obaseki to come and open my office, Shaibu said in a telephone chat

The high drama in Edo State Government House between the state governor, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu has taken on another twist.

On Monday morning, the first working day of the week, Shaibu in a convoy of three cars had stormed his office inside the State Government House situated at Osadebey Avenue, Benin to resume work only for him to discover that the gate to his office had been locked up double chained to prevent him from gaining access to the place.

Shaibu immediately placed a call to an unknown person to complain about his experience. The embattled Deputy Governor was overheard telling his source about what he just saw at the main entrance to his office.

He was overheard telling the person at the other end that the notice from the state Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa, that there should be a relocation of the deputy governor’s office to the new space was addressed to the civil servants attached to his office and not to him(Comrade Shaibu).

The embattled Deputy Governor was also heard telling the person that his boss, the governor should order that his office inside the Government House should be opened immediately.
