Engr. Gideon Ikhine, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the 2020 guber poll in Edo State, has stated that in that every individual has his rights to express his views such views can only be within the understanding of such an individual.

The Edo Central born politician was reacting to the comments made by the President of the One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, that the 2024 governorship contest in Edo State should not be microzoned to Edo Central Senatorial District but should be made an all comers affair.

In his response via a telephone chat, Engr. Ikhine said that the opinion expressed by Chief Eholor were entirely his and he cannot be denied such an opportunity to express his views.

According to Engr. Ikhine, “the views expressed by the activist are entirely his which he is entitled to. One thing is that a person cannot be knowledgeable beyond the bridge of his nose.

“Whatever was his opinion cannot be denied him. He has all the right to express his views just like any other person.”
