Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN), Mrs. Margaret Agbonifo, has revealed how she went through lots of objection by members because of her gender before she emerged as the first woman to have ever become so honoured.

She made revelation in the course of a thanksgiving prayer session she held for the members of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and its new executive leadership.

Mrs. Agbonifo disclosed that she finally got the recognition she deserves by virtue of her positive contribution to the PFN’s growth.

She advised the chairman of the council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, not to derail in his mission while praying that he has the needed energy to complete his tenure in zest just the way he started with a blitz.

The Edo PFN chairman advised Alenkhe not to let his new position distract him from doing his crime reporting assignment for which he is well recognised and appreciated.

She assured the journalists that she would always be available whenever they are in need of her just as she will keep supporting them with her prayers and counsel.
