Edo NUJ Council mourn departed member

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, has mourned the passage of Mr. Gabriel Enogholase of the Vanguard Newspaper saying that “he will be remembered for his contributions to journalism in Edo State and beyond.”

The Union in a statement by its Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe and Secretary, Comrade Andy Egbon, described the deceased as “a dedicated journalist with Vanguard Newspapers, known for his professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the ethics of the journalism profession.”

Mr. Enogholase, who died on the night of Sunday, June 22, 2025, after a brief illness, was a devoted member of the Correspondents Chapel of the Edo State Council of the NUJ. 

In his life time, Mr. Enogholase was a well travelled journalist who at different times worked for different national newspapers and was posted to different parts of the country like Kaduna and Port Harcourt as a Correspondent. 

The bereaved family is working on the funeral arrangements of the departed journalist which would be made public soon.
