Edo Central voters instructed to dump Obaseki on March 11th

My good people of Esanland, on this day, Sunday 26th of February, 2023, exactly one week ago, INEC returning officer for the senatorial election in Edo Central, Prof. Ray Ozolua declared Monday Okpebholo (aka) Akpakomiza the Senator-elect for Edo Central Senatorial District.

In the same-vein, INEC returning officer for the Federal House of Representatives election in Esan North East and Esan South East Federal Constituency, Dr Victor Imade declared Prince Odi Okojie, as the Member-elect*l for Federal House of Representatives.

INEC declaration of Akpakomiza as Senator-elect, was premised upon his historic electoral victory, after polling a total vote of forty one thousand, three hundred and thirty four (41, 334), to defeat the incumbent Senator Clifford Ordia, who polled twenty five thousand, two hundred and twenty five votes (25, 225).

My good people of Esanland, with this historic victory, you stopped Governor Godwin Obaseki, who backed Senator Clifford Ordia with state funds and government apparatus, from becoming the ‘Political Godfather Pro Max,’ in Esan politics.

Today, I humbly appeal to you all, my beloved Esan people to once again stop Governor Obaseki in the incoming March 11th election in Esanland, by voting massively for APC House of Representatives candidate for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency, Deacon Patrick Idiake, and all APC Edo State House of Assembly candidates, in order to secure the first lap of our political quest for a Governor of Esan extraction.

Governor Obaseki knows that, it is only APC majority led House of Assembly, that can checkmate and curtail his anti-democratic influence and antics in the State Assembly.

We are all eyewitnesses to the reality, whereby, he, anti-democratically reduced the ten member Edo State House of Assembly, to one of his administrative unit in government house, therein, making Edo State House of Assembly an object of caricature and ridicule in our nation.

Governor Obaseki in the past days has intensified efforts in supporting both PDP and Labour Party’s candidates financially and otherwise, just to position himself in a standpoint, that will enhance his continual annexation of Edo State House of Assembly, and thereby undermine the principle of separation of powers and independence of the Arms of Government, as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.

I urge you all my beloved people, to approach the incoming State House of Assembly election in Esanland as a Governorship election, because our collective political aspirations for a Governor of Esan extraction in our beloved state depends on it.

A word is enough for the wise, and Esan people are wise people!
