The people of Ward 11 in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State have blessed the aspiration of Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki in 2024.
It was a commendable show of love as the people of Ward 11 thronged Comrade Philip Shaibu’s country home to bless his aspiration for Edo 2024.
Speaking on behalf of the people, the Ward 11 Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Chairman, Mr. Igbafe Omoh Aigbonogah, said: “the people of Ward 11 have unanimously consented to the Edo 2024 aspiration of Comrade Philip Shaibu to contest the Edo 2024 election in the state. The best we can give to our son, is to support his aspiration and ensure his success come 2024.”
In the same vein, the former leader, Etsako West Legislative Arm and Coordinator, Young Elites, Hon. Kelvin Mohammed, said, “the blessing of Ward 11 to Edo Deputy Governor in his aspiration, is a signal of a divine call to salvage the people.”
In his reaction to the call of his people to contest the 2024 Edo Governorship election, Comrade Shaibu said his expression of interest to contest the Edo 2024 governorship election coupled with the blessing and nod of his people will be put into consideration before throwing his heart to the ring.
“The political struggle ahead Edo 2024 has started with home backing and approval. So, I assure the people of Edo State that the state under my leadership will experience practical governance with collective responsibility. I am good to go with the approval of my people,” Comrade Shaibu said.
