Edo 2024: Lawmaker intensifies campaign for PDP in Orhionmwon

Hon. Bright Iyamu, the member representing Orhionmwon South Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly(EDHA) and other stakeholders in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, have intensified their campaign for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidates, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie Esq. jointly known as AiO², ahead of the gubernatorial election schedule for September 21st, 2024.

The campaign was held in the area on Monday, 29th July and Wednesday, 31 July, 2024. The People’s Democratic Party, PDP Campaign team led by Matthew Iduoriyekemwen the Director Campaign of Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie, who was elated at the mammoth crowd that turned out at the event, welcomed everyone on board. 

The Chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, while receiving the decampees in their hundreds, encouraged the people of the local government, to vote for competence and capability and reassured them that a vote for PDP is a vote for development. 

The PDP Governorship candidate and his deputy, who were delighted by the massive turn out of their supporters, presented their manifesto ‘pathway to prosperity for all’ with excitement. Ighodalo stated that if he emerges governor, he will attract development and manufacturing companies to the area,. Hon Newman Ugiagbe, the local government council Chairman assured the people that their votes will count and they should vote for AiO².

Earlier on, while receiving the PDP Campaign team at his Ward, Ugboko Ward 5, Hon. Bright Iyamu expressed satisfaction with the level of support and commitment for Ighodalo and Ogie’s candidacy by the party faithful. He reaffirmed his conviction on the  PDP candidates, while noting that the party fielded the best candidate for the 2024 Edo gubernatorial race. 

He encouraged the members of his Ward, Ugboko Ward 5 and other wards to come out en-masse and vote for PDP, highlighting the importance of collective effort in achieving a better future for Orhionmwon and Edo State at large.

The lawmaker told them they should thumb print on the umbrella symbol that represents PDP  and that names will not appear on the ballot paper, “only the symbol of PDP, an umbrella will appear. Orhionmwon is PDP and PDP is Orhionmwon.”

The leaders and other stakeholders of PDP in Orhionmwon Local Government Area were all present at the rally to welcome the campaign team.
