The Senior Pastor of Banner of Solution Christian Assembly International Incorporated, Apostle Emmanuel Igiehon, has urged the President Bola Tinubu to uphold Nigeria’s democratic values and ensure free and fair election process in the Edo State governorship election.

In the same vein, Apostle Igiehon called on the electorate to come out enmass to cast their vote for candidates of their choice without fear or intimidation noting that the choice they make today will shape the future of the state for another four years.

“I urge the electorate to come out enmass to vote for a person of their choice. This is the time for them to exercise their franchise and cast their vote for someone who will bring the dividends of democracy to their doorstep. Don’t be afraid, vote your conscience. The players have presented their manifestos. Look at them and their pedigree and see how they can deliver on their promises which will in turn bring about economic stability.”

The Cleric condemned vote buying and thuggery during the election and advised youths not to make themselves available for thuggery.

“I want to advice the youths to shun electoral violence because they are future leaders. Don’t allow politicians to use you to your detriment. Most of their children are either working or schooling abroad. When they call on you to come and help them to snatch ballot box, tell them their children should lead the way and be at the forefront of the whole activity.”He further advised the players in the election to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and put politics aside and work together for the overall development of the state when the outcome of the election surfaces. He also urged security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property during and after the election.
