Edo 2024: APGA candidate says the people will decide

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Governorship Candidate in Edo State, Dr. Isaiah Osifo, has said the next government of Edo State will be rooted on knowledge and democracy and to be decided by the people who will draw a distinction between candidates and political parties.

Osifo disclosed this in a statement

entitled, “Colonialism And Edo 2024” made available to newsmen in Benin, after he emerged the candidate of the APGA for the September, 21st Edo governorship election.

Describing the battle for the soul of Edo as one that would be fought and lost is between Edo people and against the political godfathers, Osifo said,” Colonialism was rooted on two evil grounds: Arrogance of superiority over the people of the colonies, and the clear intention of the colonial masters to steal the resources of the colony.

“At the commencement of the campaigns in April, the people of Edo State will draw a distinction between candidates and political parties that are rooted on  colonialism and those that are in politics to serve and to return Edo State to true democracy and development.”

Going forth, he said: “The next government of Edo State that will be rooted on knowledge and democracy, effective November 12,2024, will stamp out poverty and return the good people of Edo State to prosperity and dignity.”
