Edo 2020: APC’s victory will shock naysayers, says Mallam Gani Audu

Mallam Gani Audu(MGA), the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the polls coming up in Edo State on Saturday, September 19th, 2020, has vowed that the massive acceptance of his party in Edo North would shock critics when the results start trickling in on the memorable day.

“I love been underrated. My strength lies in my ability to spring surprise. My people love me. It is obvious from all indications.

“I have contested four elections – twice as a council chairman and twice as a lawmaker – and I have won all the elections. I don’t engage in any kind of argument or fight rather I have a listening ear and I accept any good idea that you bring forth.

“My dictum is love your neighbour as you love yourself which is one of the ten commandments in the Bible. If you bring my attention to a problem you have I will ensure that you get a response that is helpful to you. A response that will lift your spirit.

“All those churning out fake news that I am not accepted or relevant in my locality, a big shock awaits them on Saturday, September 19th, 2020, when results from Edo North will start trickling in.

“I am accepted in my locality so also my party, the APC is accepted. The massive votes that the APC will get in Edo North, and indeed other parts of the state, on that memorable day will be a shocker to doubting Thomases.

“Why won’t my constituents love me? Out of my fifty one years on earth I have spent just four years outside Edo State. I know my constituents and they know me too and love my efforts so far to ensure that they do not lack infrastructural development and even empowerment.

“My achievements as council chairman and even lawmaker have so far not been surpassed. Twice I contested and won council chairmanship position. I also contested and won position of lawmaker twice. If I am not acceptable or if I am irrelevant in my locality would I have achieved such a feat?

“The schools I built in my constituency, in my days as council chairman, are still very durable. They are still in a good state in contrast to some red roof schools.

“This forthcoming election on Saturday, September 19th, 2020, is going to be the fifth election that I would be contesting in and from all indications the success trend will be the same for me and the APC.”
