Demolition of Shaibu’s property: Commissioner denies involvement of his ministry

Hon. Ethan Uzamere, the Edo State Commissioner for Roads and Bridges, has vehemently denied that officials of his ministry carried out the demolition exercise of erstwhile deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu’s property in GRA, Benin City.

Reacting in a telephone chat to the report by Popular News, Hon. Uzamere sought to confirm if any of those who came for the job wore the reflective jacket associated with the ministry.

“No official of the Ministry of Roads and Bridges was involved in the demolition exercise that you just reported. Did you see any of them wearing the reflective jacket that’s associated with the ministry?

“As we speak now, I am not even in town and I have not given anybody instructions to demolish any property. You can go and make your enquiries.

“I will appreciate if you can make a picture available showing some of those who did the demolition wearing the reflective jackets that our officials normally wear,” the soft spoken commissioner submitted.
