Cleric acknowledges Oba of Benin’s peace initiatives as he gets honoured

The Prestigious Niger Delta Peace Ambassador Award has been bestowed on Most Senior Apostle David Unuefe-Ikhuiwu, the Spiritual Leader/General Overseer, Christ’s Chosen Church Of God International.

The presentation was done by Pedro Omo Aghahowa, the CEO of Edo Legacy Foundation Incorporated publishers of Bravins Magazine International.

Omo Aghahowa while handing over the award plaque to Most Senior Apostle Unuefe-Ikhuiwu said that the choice of the spiritual leader for the prestigious award was informed by his knack to better the lots of the people which was made clear with his family oriented programmes on radio and TV channels.

“Your efforts at uniting the family unit has been noticeable and cannot be let go unrewarded. That informed why you have been chosen for this prestigious award.”

Omo Aghahowa went into memory lane to recall that he has the support of the then Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Erediauwa in initiating the award programme which has been on for a couple of years.

Most Senior Apostle Unuefe-Ikhuiwu in his acceptance speech thanked the Edo Legacy Foundation Incorporated for deeming him fit to honour him. He asserted that the award would gear him to do more.

He praised the Benin monarch for the major role that he has being playing to bring the youths of the Niger Delta region together to unite for the progress and development of the region and the country as a whole.

“I want to sincerely say thank you to you for the Niger Delta Peace  Ambassador Award which you have given to me. And also to acknowledge the role our royal father is playing to bring all Niger Delta youths together to live in peace and to avoid all sorts of vandalism etc,” Most Senior Apostle Unuefe-Ikhuiwu stated.
