News just reaching our news desk is that the annual rice sharing and monetary support marshalled by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Edo State, Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon(aka Riceman), has been put on hold in Edo North District on account of the security challenge in the area.
Insiders revealed that the process of allocating bags of rice, a popular staple food, to be shared in the Edo North District was ongoing in the Ewohinmi, Esan North East imposing mansion of the multimillionaire where he and his aides where gathered in readiness for the trip to the Edo North District made up of six local government councils(Akoko Edo, Etsako Central, Etsako East, Etsako West, Owan East and Owan West) when intel report got to him that this year’s process should be subject to a review as the area is under serious security threat.
For almost 20 years, Barrister Imansuangbon, Proprietor of Pacesetters Group of Schools in Abuja, has been committing millions of naira to sharing rice, money etc during the Christmas season to support families across Edo State and even beyond.
It would be recalled that in recent times some chains of attacks on personalities on the highway to Edo North has been recorded with fatal consequence. One of such is the attack on fiery cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, which claimed seven members of his travelling team including policemen.
