Gist reaching this news desk is that very soon the Edo State Government would commence revocation of the Certificate of Occupancy (C-of-O) of some landed properties considered to belong to it which the previous administration led by then Governor Godwin Obaseki sold out to some individuals, organizations etc.
It was gathered that those to be affected mostly in this regard are high networth individuals like politicians, businessmen and owners of some farming settlements.
A dependable source, who gave hint of this soon to be launched operation, said: “As it is now it would be adviced that anyone interested in any landed property in Edo State, especially in the metropolitan areas, should endeavour to confirm if it’s government land.
“Sourcing for land from communities would be safer and better to avoid future palava. That’s the way the cookies crumble now.”
