The family of music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has formally petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) accusing Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru Idibia, of physically assaulting the singer in London and elsewhere, and of supplying him with harmful substances.
In a petition submitted through their lawyers, the family expressed deep concern for 2Baba’s well-being, describing a pattern of troubling incidents. They highlighted a reported altercation at a London hotel last month that required police intervention, though no charges were filed at the time.
The family is now calling for a thorough investigation into both the alleged assaults and claims that Natasha has provided the singer with drugs that have negatively affected his health and behaviour.
The move comes amid a highly public and emotional period for the couple. Recent social media posts including 2Baba’s brief “Help me” message and an emotional appeal from his brother Hyacinth, have fuelled widespread worry among fans and loved ones.
