Benin hotel’s management searching for Felix Lebarty

Felix Lebarty where are you? This is the question on the lips of the management of Motel Benin Plaza, a hospitality facility situated in the heart of Benin, the capital of Edo State, the acclaimed city of Bronze.

This question has been on the lips of the hotel’s management for almost four years now since Felix, the pop music star of years back, abandoned an old model wagon car in the facility.

Lebarty was an item in the country’s music scene years back when his sonorous voice and dexterity on the guitar instrument earned him recognitions and applaud wherever he found himself.

His music competed favourably for play time with the giants of the period. His sonorous voice made one of his songs then, Ifeoma, to be one of the monster hits of that period. He became the toast of ladies and he is reputed to have about two dozen children from the relationships.

Just as memorable as his music became so memorable was his withdrawal from the music scene such that music lovers were often asking of his whereabouts whenever any of his songs was being played.

By the time he came back from his self-imposed absence from the showbiz world he had adopted a different lifestyle. Now the acclaimed Lover Boy has become a soul winner whose church services attract a large crowd as a result of his convincing way of passing the message to his congregation.

A Benin boy by all standards, Lebarty choose the city as the headquarters of his evangelical mission, Lebarty World Outreach. His thrice weekly programme at the Motel Benin Plaza was a choice of a lot of genuine salvation seeking worshippers.

All of a sudden as it now seems to be his trade mark he packed it all up and all efforts by the hotel management to make him move his antiquated wagon from the hotel became a difficult task.

Popular News gathered that initially the management of the hotel insisted that before he can be allowed to move the vehicle he should pay a fee. However, having seen that the artiste cum pastor is not showing any concern for their order they have changed gear and sent forth word that he should feel free to move the wagon out of their premises without making any payment.

The main problem the hotel is confronted with is how to locate Lebarty as he has not been seen in Benin for a long while now. Unconfirmed report is that he has relocated to Abuja where he has continued his ministry.
