A group aligned with the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Uhunmwode, Uhunmwode Concerned Stakeholders, has refuted what it described as “a false narrative” being peddled by certain elements using proxy accounts under the guise of a fictitious political movement as it relates to an enlarged meeting held in the locality recently.
According to the statement by the Uhunmwode Concerned Stakeholders “the enlarged meeting of top Uhunmwode APC leaders, who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavor, politically and in public service, was a huge success.
“In the closed meeting, each of the ten (10) wards of Uhunmwode was adequately represented by at least two top leaders. The meeting was marked by very robust deliberation geared towards the progress, cohesion, and unity of Uhunmwode as a local government.
“A pathway to making our beloved local government relevant in the scheme of things in the progressive government of Sen. Monday Okpebholo was charted with the needed recommendations made.”
Going further, Uhunmwode Concerned Stakeholders affirmed that the local government chapter of the APC “is united and at peace. The top leaders of the party are in a progressive confluence and an alignment of thoughts unprecedented in the recent history of the local government.”
Loyal party members were advised “to disregard the garrulous outbursts of a meddlesome interloper and a jobless media urchin, who is neither a registered voter in Uhunmwode nor a card-carrying-member of the APC in any ward of the local government hence shouldn’t be taken seriously.”
