The Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, has eulogized the late former Zonal Director of the NTA Benin Network Centre, Phil Obanor.
While commiserating with the family of the deceased and the entire NTA family over her untimely death, Alenkhe said Phil Obanor left behind a life worthy of emulation as her deeds on earth will certainly impact positively in the incoming generation.
He described Phil Obanor as a seasoned journalist and astute broadcaster who made significant contributions to the growth and development of the media industry in Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Alenkhe prayed to God to grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, and added that her soul would continue to rest in perfect peace.
Phil Obanor retired meritoriously from the NTA in November 2024 after spending 35 years in the service of the national television station.
