“The news of Mr. Aigbona’s death on Sunday, 15th August, 2021, came to me as a rude shock.

“Late Ahmed Aigbona was a great sports analyst who contributed immensely to sports journalism in the country. His absence will be greatly missed.

“I join other media colleagues in the country to pray that Allah forgive him of all his sins and grant him eternal rest.

“I take solace in the fact that Ahmed Aigbona came, saw and squat peacefully to conquer as he has today put his name in the annals of sports development In Nigeria, using the media.

“Mr. Chairman, l hereby condole you and all NUJ members in Edo State.”
