He said, “I am not happy over these killings that took place at Ahor Kara yesterday morning. It was in April last year that I was attacked at same place, myself and my brother. The unknown gunmen shot severally at us. My brother died immediately but I sustained injuries that I am still nursing till date.

“I was shocked when I heard I am the one who perpetrated the evil act. Let me say it now that I don’t know anything about the killings. Five of our brothers were shot, three died immediately while the other two are battling for their lives at a hospital. So how could I have attacked my own brothers?

“I am using this medium to call on the Nigeria Police, the government to help do a thorough investigation in order to unravel the killers of my brothers. I will be so glad if the killers are arrested,” he said.

On his part, one of the deceased’s relatives, Nosa Omoregie said, “the government should intervene quickly on this killings at Ahor Kara. It’s like now an annual thing. Last year, our Okaeghele was shot at that same place. Himself and his brother. His brother died immediately while he’s still taking treatment.

“A vigilante member of the community, Mr Eric Enotiemwonmwan, said “I suspected the killers to be professionals. When I heard the gunshot, I knew something is going on. I called and didn’t get the report of any attack until I was later called and was informed that five persons have been shot dead.

“I got there and saw three dead and two others still alive with injuries. The tiring part of it is that there’s an allegation that my Okaeghele is the one that did it. How? My Okaeghele that was shot last year April?

“Go and see him, he’s still nursing the pains till today. So, how can he do that? Let them bring any type of ‘juju’, I will swear and my Okaeghele will swear too. The killers of my brothers must not go Scott free.”

It was observed that the community was peaceful as businesses were trending smoothly.
