Okhiku Esezobor, who is aspiring to become Chairman of Owan West Local Government Council of Edo State, via the local government polls coming up in July next year, has promised the people of the Council a good time.
Esezobor affirmed that his emergence is a clarion call of God to him to give back to his people who over the years have continuosly yearn for good governance.
He asserted that his good governance mantra rests on provision of the basic necessities of life plus investment in agricultural development to make the council the hub of the state economic advancement as his constituents are majorly farmers.
The All Progressives Congress(APC) stalwart said he is working on the prompting of the holy spirit that he should make himself available to serve his people with truth.
“My coming into the race is in response to the call of the holy spirit that I should make myself available to serve the people. My agenda is fixated on making Owan Local Government the leading local government council in Edo State if not even in the federation.
“I am the God ordained occupant of the chairmanship position. I have integrity, am credible, accountable and have quality education. I have a vision of empowering my people so that they can be counted in the league of achievers.”
Asked to give a definite reason why he thinks that he is the best person to occupy the position which has many contenders in the race, he said that God always leads him forth in all his endeavours and this time around He has placed him on the chairmamship seat ahead of the polls slated for July 2026.
