Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor, Director of Contact and Mobilisation of the Labour Party (LP) in Diaspora, has expressed concerns with the Ooni of Ife’s endorsement of Senator Godswill Akpabio’s ambition to be Senate President.
In a message, the LP chieftain said: “We respect your throne because you are our father, you have the youth to participate in politics, you have advised the youth to comport themselves respectively and we did and we adhere to your advice and now you also came out now that the PDP and Labour Party should sheathe their sword, I don’t think that’s a proper advice from a royal father.
“Nobody is fighting, I think the royal father should advice us not to fight but seek a redress when we are upset over any issue. We also know that you are a great supporter of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, I don’t have a problem with that but to tell us to forget about those who died during the course of election, to tell us to forget about Mahmood Yakubu who rigged the election, to tell us to forget about the irresponsible law enforcement, I think it is not something that the youth are very happy about.
“I’m from Benin, the Benin and the Yoruba are related, I’m a prince and also a chief we respect you Baba.
“In these few days you anointed Godswill Akpabio let us not forget in a hurry when Godswill Akpabio was in service, he loot the state treasury, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State gave him a condition that when Akpabio move into APC his sins will be forgiven and truly his sins were forgiven because APC accommodates criminals who have broken the fabrics of democracy in Nigeria and today he has been elevated to a Senate President and we can see that their father Kabiyesi is also praying for him, for leaving his state in an abject poverty; for stealing every resources in his state to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu last election.
“I think Baba should not get himself involved in politics.”
