On behalf of the Edo State Campaign Council, I want to most sincerely express our profound gratitude and commendation for a very successful Presidential Campaign Flag-off Rally that took place yesterday, Saturday 22nd October 2022, in the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
As usual, our leaders, members and most pleasing of all, Edo people, came out in their tens of thousands in solidarity and commitment to the pursuit of Resetting Nigeria. Regrettably, our nation has been dragged to a pitiable state by the current APC government and it is clear, all hands must be on deck to effect not just a Rescue but a complete overhaul of all the levers of government that has been contaminated by the APC government.
The spirit and resilience, driven by the patriotic passion of members of our party, the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, would no doubt be sufficiently sustained by the daily increasing number of our membership and the highly cherished values of our great party.
We thank the Presidential Campaign Council members that graced the event, from H.E. Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Chairman, H.E. Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, Director General to the National Chairman of our Party, H.E. Senator Iyorchia Ayu and members of the National Executive Committee, H.E. Lucky Igbinedion, former governor of Edo State, Chief Tom Ikimi, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi to mention a few.
We especially thank our leader and Governor, His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki, his deputy, Rt. Hon, Comrade Phillip Shaibu, the State Chairman of our dear party, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi and members of his state executive committee as well as our entire membership, affiliate groups and all well meaning interests that contributed to the success of the event, you deserve a standing ovation for your valuable contributions.
We must thank our candidates, the Next President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Their Excellencies, Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa for their tenacity and steadfastness to lead the Rescue Mission. Their presence at the rally was a breath of fresh air for the good people of Edo State and serious heart wrenching episode for the remnants of APC left in Edo.
Be rest assured that Edo state being the heartbeat of the nation, that we are highly inspired to sustain the tempo of Operation Rescue Nigeria with the desired vigour.
