ICCOBA 2001 alumni officials say end of year party memorable

The newly elected President of Immaculate Conception College Old Boys Association ( ICCOBA) Class 2001 Set, Engr. Edison Osazee Ohonba, has described the association’s recent Reunion/Dinner party, as a huge success, just as he thanked their teachers for impacting knowledge on them with constant mentoring.

Engr. Ohonba made the statements at the Reunion/Dinner party organized by ICCOBA Class 2001 set, in Benin City, Edo State. He said the get together dinner party event also afford him the avenue to see his old school friends that he has not seen for the past 20 years.

“Basically, during the course of our preparation for the end of year reunion/dinner party, we invited some our teachers who taught us during our secondary school days. They came to mentor and advised us with the words of wisdom. We really thank them haven impacted us in our old school days and for coming to counsel us with their words of wisdom.

“Also, during the occasion, some old boys who are medical doctors came to give us some health tips and how we can take care of our health during our work. We are celebrating the 20 years activities today,” he stated.

Also commenting the newly elected assistant Secretary of ICCOBA 2001 set, Comrade Edosa Osagbovo, said their major focal interest if fully settle down is to pay more attention to members welfare. He said this will enable members take activities of the association serious and come to meetings regularly.

Speaking on how to bring new ideas to the body, Comrade Edosa said, “we are going to improve on the aspect of welfare for members and to attend ceremonies of members also.”

In addition, the newly elected Public Relations Officer of ICCOBA Class 2001 set, Comrade Charles Edoleyi, described the dinner party as a successful event.

“The most remarkable thing is that we have to invite our old teachers who taught us in our secondary school days and we gave them an awards. We thank our teachers for the discipline, learning and for impacting quality education on us. It was a memorable event and also an opportunity for us to elect a new exco. It was done successfully, So, we give God the honour and glory for everything that took place today.”
