Bendel Insurance FC management disowns former national goalkeeper

The management of Edo State Government owned Bendel Insurance FC has disowned former national age group teams goaltender, Ambrose Vanzekin, saying that the former soccer star is not a member of its coaching crew.

A statement emanating from the management of the Bendel Insurance FC signed by its Media Officer, Kehinde Osagiede, stated thus: “Bendel Insurance FC did not name former player Ambrose Vanzekin or any other person a Goalkeeper Trainer as being reported in the social media.

“The former Under 20 and Under 23 National teams goalkeeper is not a staff of Bendel Insurance. The news report is unfounded and misleading.

“The attention of Insurance management was today drawn to the fake news report which started flying since Thursday, and we are by this statement telling the public that we did not at any time enter into any discussion nor reaching any contract agreement with Ambrose Vanzekin to join our coaching crew. 


“We want to also use this opportunity to advise journalists particularly those in the social media including BSNsports.com.ng to always contact Insurance FC Media Department for clarifications before publishing reports that did not emanate from it so as not to mislead the public.”
