Also, as part of its Project Shine Agenda the government has achieved a lot in the area of delivery of the dividends of democracy in line with its campaign promises to the state.

According to him the government was presently doing appraisals in all the MDAs and other parastatals to ensure meeting set targets, adding that the feedback had been encouraging.

The Commissioner disclosed that the state government has created friendly investment environment to stimulate the state’s economy and other policies that enhance production activities adding that solid minerals are being developed to the state’s advantage.

He disclosed that given the flood alert by Federal Government, the administration was doing all within its powers to prevent flooding in the state. He said based on this the state government ensured all roads being constructed across the state have side drains.

He used the opportunity to alert the public to stop dumping refuse inside drains, urging them to take the issue of environmental cleanliness very seriously. He advised them to dump refuse at designated areas. He warned that if proper measures are not taken in this regards, it may cause environmental hazards.

On security, the Commissioner reassured the public on government’s commitment in handling security matters, adding that the government still maintained zero tolerance for acts of criminalities, especially cultism which he said is still very much on course.

Speaking on the killing of a 200 level student of the University of Benin at the institution’s main gate a week ago, he stated that the Police has made useful arrest and is working frenetically on closing the case soon.
