Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested a China-based Nigerian businessman, Ibeanu Vincent Chukwudulue, and two Angolan nationals, Mbandu Martins Makiadi and Ngoma Wilson Fernando, after they excreted a total of 236 wraps of cocaine at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, and Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.

The 34-year-old Ibeanu was intercepted on February 4, 2026, on a Qatar Airways flight from Kano to China via Abuja and Doha.

He excreted 52 cocaine pellets weighing 735.95 grams. The Angolans, Mbandu (50) and Ngoma (52), were caught the same day at Kano airport en route to Istanbul, Turkey, and excreted 76 and 108 pellets, weighing 920 grams and 1.33 kilograms respectively.

The suspects revealed they were recruited by a Luanda-based automobile dealer who promised $3,000 each upon delivery in Turkey.

In Lagos, NDLEA thwarted an attempt by convicted drug kingpin Olashupo Michael Oladimeji to export 1.10 kilograms of cocaine concealed in processed cassava granules (“Garri”) to London. Oladimeji, CEO of Dimeji Express Logistics, is serving a five-year jail term at Ikoyi Correctional Centre. His staff, Adedeji Yusuf Gbolahan, was arrested for presenting the consignment for export.

Similarly, a 44-year-old estate surveyor, Adelaja Taiwo Adetayo, attempted to export 1.70 kilograms of skunk in five jerry cans to the UK. NDLEA intercepted the consignment, arresting both Adetayo and cargo agent, Mustapha Quddus Opeyemi.

Other recent seizures include: In Abuja, 59.2 grams of Canadian Loud cannabis concealed in a children’s toy guitar; owner Henry Onuma arrested.

In Lekki, Lagos, a 4-bedroom duplex used for Colos production was raided, recovering 13.2 kilograms of synthetic cannabis and precursor chemicals. Suspect Victor Oyedeji arrested.

In Ibadan, Oyo State, drug dealer Oluwayemisi Bunmi (45) was arrested with 1.189 kg Colos/skunk, 320 grams methamphetamine, ¦ 2,975,000, and two cars.

In Kwara, 105,400 tramadol pills recovered from Kamilu Abdullahi (43).
