Information reaching this news desk is that operatives of the Edo State anti-cultism squad had a terrible experience on Wednesday night as they were on their way back to Benin after a successful operation in Edo North axis.
It was gathered authoritatively that as they were making their way back to their base in Benin City they ran into an ambush by unknown gunmen wielding automatic rifles who opened rapid fire on them.
In the process one of the policemen in the team reportedly lost his life while some three others were seriously injured even as extensive damage was visited on their operational vehicle.
