Just In: Another staff of Nduka Obaigbena’s media establishment passes away 18 days after Somtochukwu’s demise

The sad news of the death of Austin Adibe Emenyonu, the Edo State Correspondent of THISDAY Newspaper, has been made.

Making the announcement, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, reported that Mr. Emenyonu passed away on the night of Friday, October 17, 2025.

According to the statement signed by Council’s Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe and Secretary, Comrade Andy Egbon, Mr. Emenyonu “was full of life, on the said date of his death as he was spotted at the Press Centre, Benin City with his colleagues, interacting freely.”

His death is coming barely 18 days after the death of Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, the Arise TV News anchor person in Abuja while escaping from armed robbers attack. Arise TV and THISDAY Newspaper are owned by Nduka Obaigbena.
