WCQ: Super Eagles gaffer drops eight players from his team list 

Eric Chelle has announced his final 23-man squad for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. 

These crucial matches will see the team face off against Rwanda and South Africa next month, with high hopes for a successful campaign. 

However, the announcement has brought some surprises, as some players will not be making the trip. 

Notable omissions from the squad include Victor Boniface, Terrem Moffi, Ebenezer Harcourt, Igoh Ogbu, Al Hassan Yusuf, Sadiq Umar,  Nathan Tella, and Akor Adams. 

Despite these omissions, the selected players will undoubtedly be eager to prove themselves on the field and secure vital points in the qualification process. 

The coaching staff and the remaining squad members are now focused on preparing for the challenges ahead, aiming to deliver strong performances and make their nation proud.
