‎The all Bendelites Bayelsa Preseason final match lived up to the pre match hype as the Deltans also proved their worth and why they gained promotion to the premier league.

‎The newly promoted Warri Wolves were a better preseason test for the Benin Arsenals as they raised the tempo of the game in the second half in search  for an equalizer which never happened.

‎The Benin Arsenals hung up to their early goal lead, making it strength for strength and skills to match with resilience in the encounter at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

‎Bendel Insurance skillful midfielder, Nnamdi Anthony, narrowly missed an opportunity to increase the tally inside the 4 minutes extra time after 90 minutes of time had been exhausted in the explosive final match but the Wolves goalkeeper was extraordinary in the goal post for his side following his incredible saves.

‎The Benin Arsenals remained consistent with their impressive performances throughout the duration of the tournament. They played four matches, winning all and scoring 10 goals without conceding any goal to emerge champions.

‎The Coach Greg Ikhenoba led Insurance FC now look ready for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League Season, following their new culture of discipline and cohesion.

‎On the road to the finals, Insurance FC  began the preseason football tournament with 2-0 victory over hosts Bayelsa Utd and brushed aside Kun Khalifat FC 4-0 to lead group B and went ahead to thrash Bayelsa Utd U-20 3-0 in the semifinals clash to qualify for the finals against Warri Wolves.

‎Recall that the Benin Arsenals also reached the finals of the tournament in 2024 and narrowly lost to Bayelsa Utd in a shootout after a 1-1 draw at the end of the regulation period.
