Bendel Insurance FC have confirmed their participation in this year’s Bayelsa Preseason Football Tournament as they arrived in Yenagoa for the 8-team draws ceremony.
The Coach Greg Ikhenoba led team arrived safely in the oil rich Bayelsa State capital on Sunday evening.
Speaking on arrival of the team at the Samson Siasia Stadium, the General Manager of the Benin Arsenals, Charles Ihimekpen, said that Insurance participation in the Bayelsa Preseason Tournament is necessary, noting that it was a part of their plans as a platform to fine-tune the team in their final preparation for the new football season.
”Our Technical Crew has been working hard to get a formidable team and it is normal for us to use this kind of platform to test some of our new players and have a blend of the old and new players ahead of kickoff.”
The annual preseason football tournament which has hosts Bayelsa Utd and Feeders, Elkanemi Warriors, newly promoted Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifa, Rangers International, The Eternal Grace Ministry FC and Bendel Insurance FC is scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 10, 2025 with its draws ceremony
Bendel Insurance FC has been paired against Elkanemi Warriors in Match Day 1 fixtures, following the fixtures released by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the commencement of the 2025/26 football season on August 22, 2025 during their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Abuja.
The Benin Arsenals, who finished fifth on the NPFL’S table last season, also participated in the 2024 Bayelsa Preseason Tournament.
