‎As Bendel Insurance FC steps up their preparation for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL) with friendly games, the Chairman of the Club, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, has assured the players and officials of improved welfare.

‎Emperor Tenebe gave the assurance when he paid an unscheduled visit to the team on Friday shortly after the team’s 5-0 triumph over NLO side FC Rolly of Benin in a preseason friendly.

‎‎The Club Chairman, who was in the company of the Executive Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, Desmond Enabulele during the visit, promised that his vision for the Benin Arsenals is to make it regular on the continental tournaments and as well raise the market value of the players. ‎He told them to expect better treatment and also be ready to deliver, saying that football is big business.

‎‎”I congratulate all of you for the efforts and progress you have made so far to ensure we are where we are today. I can remember the difficult situation we found ourselves last season when we came onboard but thank God we were able to sail through and finished well.

‎‎”As we prepare for another season, I want to assure all of you that we are ready to give you all the support and necessary encouragement you need to succeed in the season. We have a hope of reaching a new height this season and we will not relent. We must be focused on achieving the purpose.

‎‎”The Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, just revived Edo Transport Line, so, we in the Sports sector will ensure that he continues to support Bendel Insurance to get to an enviable height. We know you deserve good accommodations and new vehicles as well as other forms of incentives to motivate and boost your morale.

“When morale is high you can expect good results. We are here to boost your morale for you to perform well. We can win the league. Let’s work towards that and you will be rewarded handsomely,” he emphasized.

‎‎Responding, the Head Coach of Bendel Insurance, Greg Ikhenoba, expressed the appreciation of his team and promised that they will not let the management down.

‎”Our honourable chairman, we really appreciate your coming. We didn’t expect your visit. We know you to be a man that keeps his promises. We will never forget how you supported us last season. You showed us love and kept faith in us in our difficult situation last season to the extent that you traveled with us to give your support in some of our away matches.

“You motivated us with $3000 winning prizes and you still released the money to us even when we didn’t win the match. We are proud of you and assure you of our loyalty and dedication to the progress of Bendel Insurance FC.”

‎‎Bendel Insurance FC players have been moved into closed camping since on Wednesday to enable the Technical Crew fine-tune their final selection process and bonding ahead of the fast approaching new football season.

‎According to Coach Greg Ikhenoba, several grade A preseason friendlies have been lined up for the new look team in addition to the Bayelsa preseason football tournament that is ahead.
