Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Desmond Enabulele, has been given plaudits by ailing ex-Super Eagles Star, Coach Kadiri Ikhana.
Coach Ikhana, who in his active days also played for the Bendel Insurance of Benin, showed his appreciation to the Sports Commission boss when he received his representatives led by Frank Ilaboya, the Commission’s Executive Director, Edo North at the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital(ISTH) where he is receiving treatment on poor health conditions.
On receiving the Ilaboya led team,Ā āthe award winning coach said he was already in high spirit with the message he got from the State Sports Commission Chairman.
āāCoach Ikhana thanked Enabulele for the visit and said:” this gesture will aid my quick recovery process. I am grateful for what you have done. I feel better and think I’m good enough to leave here tomorrow.”
āāHe described Enabulele as a pragmatic leader and prayed for him to succeed in leading the Commission to an enviable height. He also wished his former club, Bendel Insurance FC, success in the 2025/26 football season.
āāFrank Ilaboya was accompanied on the visit by Osaro Jeffrey, the Coordinator of Bendel Insurance and Faith Ojeaga, a member of Edo State FA Board, representing Edo Central.
