The Executive Director of the Edo State Sports Commission, Sabina Ekhaisomi Chikere, has reassured the athletes representing the state at the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival in Ogun State(Gateway Games 2024) that a big welcome, spiced with ‘a huge gift’ awaits them when they return to the state at the end of the fiesta.

Reacting to the feeling of excitement in Team Edo camp on the state’s commendable outing in the game of cricket(male and female teams), she averred: “You can see already that we are very excited. Everybody is excited. We prepared for it and we got it. It’s not a shock. We saw it coming and we grabbed it.”
