Okehebunor stated this at Akuma Primary School and Umuocha Primary School both in Akumazi Umuocha, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, when he led his team to the schools to distribute educational materials to pupils of the schools as part of activities to commemorate the Global Action Week for Education.

He implored the  beneficiaries to take their education seriously as education was key to the success of any individual, adding that the foundation was designed to create sustainable change by providing educational, healthcare, economic empowerment and sustainable development initiatives to reach communities where needed.

He noted that the foundation was a non-profit organization that bridged the gaps between the communities, uplift communities and unites the diaspora with Africa, saying that the foundation would continue to strive to make lasting impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

Okehebunor, who  stated  that the focus  of the foundation included awareness creation, women empowerment, youth investment and sustainable development as well as education, said  that his foundation was also distributing educational materials in other local government areas across the state.

While saying that the Okehebunor Foundation was delighted to donate notebooks and other educational materials as their approach and believe that education was key to success, he explained that the gesture to donate educational materials to the schools was borne out of the need to ensure that the children were not denied from learning.

He stated that the foundation was also raising future leaders, projecting good governance and ensure that the people, especially the less privileged accessed quality of everything they needed, just as he  lauded the federal government for its support through the Sustainable Development Goals(SDG).

Also speaking, the Technical Consultant, Okehebunor Foundation, Augusta Keneboh, said that this year’s Global Action Week for Education  with the theme: Education Saves Lives and Protect Education Emergencies, was a global education program, marked annually all over the world to remind relevant stakeholders and the children that education was key to their success.

The Headteacher of Umuocha Primary School, Mrs. Patience Abiazikwor and her counterpart in charge of Akuma Primary School, Mrs. Victoria Okpara commended Okehebunor Foundation for the gesture and pledge their commitment to discharge their duties diligently at all times.

Meanwhile, Okehebunor Foundation also visited Okwe Primary Healthcare Centre, Oshimili South Local Government Area for cash donations to mothers and items including pampers, soap and tissues for the new born babies and Divine Chamber of God’s Assembly, Ugbolu  in Oshimili North Local Government Area for cash empowerment to women to support their businesses and educational materials to the children.
