N’Edo Gheria, a socio-political and cultural group, has given a “wake up call to the government to rebuild trust on the minds of the citizens.”

The group was reacting to the recent mayhem that occurred in Uromi, a community in Esan North East Local Government Area of the state, which led to the death of seven people suspected to be killer herdsmen.

According to the National Convener of the group, Patrick Ebojele, “a common factor that led to the unfortunate incident is bottled up anger. Nigerians are losing trust and confidentiality in the various agencies responsible for the provision of security to do so.”

While condemning, what he described as “the dastardly act carried out by our youths and wish that such never reoccur,” Ebojele went further to enjoin “the relevant government agencies to carry-out their duties without fear or favor in trying to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident that took place around Uromi.”

N’Edo Gheria charged that “the government must do all it can to rebuild  trust in the minds of the people and improve on their security and welfare being.”
