Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has stepped into the seeming face off between the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at the premises of the Governorship Election Tribunal on Monday.
In a statement endorsed by its Chairman, Festus Alenkhe and its Secretary, Andy Egbon, the Council affirmed that “Governor Okpebholo, has intervened in the recent matter concerning the alleged assault on journalists by DSS operatives at the Edo State Election Petition Tribunal on January 20, 2025.
