Information reaching Popular News is that Coach Monday Odigie, the handler of Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL) team, Bendel Insurance of Benin, has handed in his resignation letter from the team.
Heard that his resignation letter after the 3-2 loss to the Rangers International FC of Enugu last Sunday evening in Match Day 12 encounter.
As a result of this development the Insurance Match Day 13 outing against Kwara United of Ilorin which will be held behind closed doors at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, aftermath of the NPFL’s directives to that effect will be without the presence of Coach Odigie in the dugout.
As at press time no official of the Bendel Insurance management team and the Edo State Sports Commission was willing to talk to the media on Odigie’s sudden departure.
In recent time, the wobbly performance of the Insurance has been a source of embarrassment to their legion of supporters even on home turf.
