Evans Ifada Okojie runs for his dear life

One Mr. Sunday Ifada Okojie and his wife have been murdered over issues of inheritance of family property.

It is alleged that one Anthony, who was arrested by the police, is suspected to  carry out the sordid act on the couple who hailed  from Ebhebe Ewoiyi, Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria on the 19th February, 2015.

The Edo State Police Command made a statement on the suspected murderer, who is a father of five children. In 2015 the inheritance of the family property was resolved in favour of Mr. Sunday Ifada Okojie as the first son of the late Okojie by the elders of the community.

According to the report, Mr. Anthony was not satisfied with the way the elders resolved the matter and openly boasted that he would kill Mr. Sunday Ifada Okojie and his entire family. 

Mr. Ifada did not  take the boasts and threats serious as he thought Mr. Anthony Okojie cannot do it. On the fateful day, 19th February, 2015, while Mr. Sunday Ifada Okojie and his wife were alone in their house, Mr. Anthony and his brothers in crime took up arms while other members of the community had gone to farm, killed Mr. Sunday Ifada Okojie and his wife. 

Their corpses were deposited in a mortuary at Uromi. The deceased are survived by a son, Evans Ifada Okojie.
