Dukes (Enigie) and other traditional rulers in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, on Saturday, offered royal blessings for their reelection bid of the Edo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy and running mate, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu, expressing confidence that the governor and his deputy will emerge victorious in the September 19, 2020 gubernatorial poll.

Receiving the governor, his deputy and other members of the Edo State PDP Campaign Council, on behalf of other Enigie, His Royal Highness (HRH), Anthony Osagie, the Enogie of Umegbe, thanked God for the life of the governor, trusting the ancestors for a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the election.

According to the Enogie of Umegbe, “Our son is here to see us and seek our prayers and blessings as the governorship election draws near. The governor is here to ask for our prayers and support.

“Governor Godwin Obaseki, you will be victorious in the forthcoming governorship election. God will give you the strength and ability to succeed in all your tasks.”

The governor and the PDP team are rounding off the state-wide ward-to-ward campaign in Oredo, in rapturous ecstasy, after touring not less than 180 wards across the three senatorial districts of the state.

The governor commenced his campaign after receiving the blessings and prayers from the Enigie and other traditional rulers in the area.
