The Edo State House of Assembly is going through a rough patch as the members are scared to the bone marrow as a result of a juju scare courtesy of a strange bowl filled with some fetish materials which was placed in the car lot where the deputy speaker of the House, Hon. Maria Edeko, is known to usually park her car inside the House of Assembly Complex situated at the city centre in Benin.
Insiders hinted that all eyes are on one of the Principal Officers of the House (name withheld) who was alleged to have paid a nocturnal visit to the assembly complex around midnight on Monday.
It was learnt that it took the bold move of some Islamic clerics to remove the offending fetish material which gave onlookers some scary moments.
Some stakeholders are not comfortable with the way that the matter is being handled by a section of the lawmakers who from the onset have been evasive on the steps to take to curb the situation.
