Latest gist coming from Owan Local Government Council of Edo State is that the maze, the symbol of authority, is presently no where to be found as some elements probably in anticipation of a likely backlash have hidden it far away from sight.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed leader of the Council’s Legislative Arm, Hon. Saturday Ohimai Ezomon, has told close confidants how he emerged as the choice of his colleagues to replace the embattled Joy Ohonyon.
Ezomon disclosed that his choice was necessitated by the need to clean the stable of strange happenings whereby all internal occurrences become public disclosure such that some of the members of the legislative arm are labeled public enemies just because they want to do things the right way in line with legislative codes.
Not only that Ezomon confided that Ohonyon because she has the ears of the Council Chairman, Hon. Dickson Ahonsi, does not respect her colleagues and she carries on like a Lord of the Manor.
Ohonyon was impeached by votes from nine out of ten members of the legislative arm. The nine members who voted for her impeachment included Samuel Aweh, Elijah Ohimai, Oni Johnbull, Ezomon Ohimai Saturday, Tunde Akele, Anthony Uadia, Simeon Bridget, Felix Atiba and Success Ekundayo Agbebaku.
