Immediate Past Senator that represented Edo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, has prayed for God’s wisdom to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State in the conduct of its 2024 governorship primaries in a few weeks time.
In his new year message to “all Edo people” the Senator who served in the red chambers of the National Assembly between 2015 and 2018, said: “I, Senator Matthew Urhoghide and my entire family wish all members of the All Progressives Congress(APC), all members of my former party the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), all members of other political parties and indeed all Edo People a very happy, prosperous and rewarding new year.
“May God Almighty grant us His divine guidance and blessings so that we should do right by Him always. We pray too that He blesses our country Nigeria and give us His peace which passeth all understanding.
“We pray for our party and its leaders for wisdom to navigate its affairs especially in the decision that it must reach in weeks ahead.
“Finally, we pray for our traditional institution that His grace will not depart from it.”
Senator Urhoghide is one of those aspiring to fly the APC banner in this year’s governorship poll in Edo State.
